Our chair is dedicated to the study of social structures and social inequality – in particular the distribution of status, resources and life chances, as well as their causes and consequences. We focus in particular on:

The chair teaches bachelor's and master's students key skills and methodological approaches to analysing social structures, with a particular focus on social inequalities.
